Two steps forward one step back
To say that Maschine Krank likes to do things a little backwards is not to overstate anything. First we released their remix album then we released their own versions of their songs a year later. And although their real debut EP "Disaster Manual" has been out for almost a month the release party will be this weekend at Bastionen in Malmö. The doors (not the band) will open at seven pm and Maschine Krank will be on stage around nine. There will also be a guest appearance by spoken word performers Klubb Ont some time during the evening as well as a DJ set by former Maschine Krank remixer DJ Scary. In other words lots of fun, good music and great people.

The Machine Is Alive
This friday, February 6th, you have the chance to catch Maschine Krank live. They'll be playing at Klubb ONT which is a new club for experimental art at Hedmanska Gården in Malmö. The show will give us a sneak preview of the band's forthcoming EP "Disaster Manual" which will be out on Stop/Start later this spring. From what we've gathered the band will also take part in "an exploration of organic industrial art" with the founders of the club. We can guarantee you that this is a must see!

Glamorama
In Elvis Garage is featured on the sampler cd that comes with the latest edition of the American music magazine Under The Radar. The song that appears is Outdated Charts and among the other artists on the cd are for instance Neko Case, Or, The Whale and Iran. Outdated Charts flashes by somewhere in the middle. Listen closely, since the song is so short you might run the risk of missing it if your concentration lapses for a minute.

In Case Of Emergency
Maschine Krank have finally finished the recordings of their debut EP "Disaster Manual". The band has recorded and produced most of the material on their own but they have also invited some friends to help them out. Two songs are collaborations with Mopeds singer and well known producer Jens Lindgård who has worked with bands like Franz Ferdinand, Doktor Kosmos and In Elvis Garage. In addition the lovely singer Josefine Lindstrand makes a guest appearance on one of the songs. The EP will be released during the winter but no date is set yet. We'll keep you posted.
